We specialise in connecting international professionals and their families with quality rental accommodation across the Netherlands — primarily Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Our process is transparent, English-friendly, and designed to make relocation as straightforward as possible. From your first application to the day you move in, we guide you every step of the way.

How it works

Your journey to a new home, step by step

From finding your ideal apartment to getting the keys — here's exactly what to expect when renting through Ontime Housing.

Choose your apartment

Browse our listings and select the property that best fits your needs, budget, and preferred location — whether that's Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or elsewhere in the Netherlands. Take your time to review all details, photos, and available dates before moving forward.

Submit your application

Once you've found the right place, submit your rental application through our platform. You'll be asked to provide a set of required documents — typically a valid ID or passport, proof of income (recent salary slips or employment contract), and a recent bank statement. All documents are handled securely and confidentially.

Application review & landlord check

Our team carefully reviews your application and documents. We then present your profile to the landlord for their approval. This process typically takes 1–2 business days. You'll receive an email notification as soon as a decision has been made.

Payment & billing details

If your application is approved, you'll be asked to complete your billing details and make the upfront payment. This includes the first month's rent for the property and the security deposit. Both payments are required to secure the rental and confirm your reservation.

Invoice, contract & signing

Once payment is initiated, you will receive your official rental contract and invoice by email. Please review the contract carefully, sign it, and return it to us. You'll also need to attach a copy of the signed contract and invoice within your payment page on our platform. This confirms your agreement and completes the booking process.

Viewing arrangement & move-in

After we've received your signed contract and confirmed your payment, our team will get back to you to arrange the viewing of your new home. The rental contract officially starts on the date you choose — so you're always in control of your move-in timeline. Welcome to your new home!
